This is only the case if you pay to high for your Timeshare. Timesharing has a low resale rate and if you don't find a good deal at the start, you could be out of some money. Purchasing a Timeshare should be viewed as an investment in leisure time, not to resale.
Scams
Yes folks, just like many other businesses/investments, you never know when a scam will pop up. These may be hard to spot but there will always be warning signs. Don't ever buy, sell or trade without taking the time to evaluate if you are getting a good deal or not.
